Our history
Launch of the first Tracktest English test
English online assessment platform with the standard Core level tests for all six CEFR levels launched on September 19th, 2012, on the domain Tracktest.eu.
Tracktest becomes the institutional affiliate of ALTE
The Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) was established in 1989 by the Universities of Cambridge and Salamanca.
Tracktest has been an institutional affiliate of ALTE since 2016.
Recognized by the Ministry of Education in Colombia
Tracktest English exam is officially recognised by the National Ministry of Education in Colombia.
In 2025, it was also recognised by the Ministry of Education in Ecuador.
Verified exam
For remote high-stakes assessments, Tracktest launches the Verified exam, an optional identity verification and online proctoring via webcam for the Core and Complete level tests. Since June 2025, it has also been available as a desktop application, free to use for all institutional customers.
Approximately 30% of online tests are now provided in the proctored mode.
First million of completed tests
During COVID, Tracktest delivered their millionth test result.
Nowadays, Tracktest provides a quarter of a million tests to individual and institutional customers in 100+ countries every year.
Standalone Speaking Test
The new test format added: the Standalone Speaking Test is a multi-level online assessment of spoken English skills, designed for job candidates in industries where a strong speaking ability is essential.
